Division Overview:

Zinc is British, privately-owned software house that specialises in building cloud-based (SaaS) software
platforms for Incident and Risk Management. We brand this software as SYNAPSE. In essence, the
platform has been designed to support business continuity and resilience. It enables organisations to
proactively identify and mitigate risks, safeguard key stakeholders, respond to operational impacts (an
incident can be anything from Health & Safety and Security to Threat, Fire and Violence), maintain
compliant processes and audits, and streamlines communication.

Because of our desire to accelerate growth in the UK and International market we are currently hiring a
Sales Manager.

The Role

The Sales Manager is hunter focused and responsible to lead, develop and execute a pipeline of prospects
that add to the growth of Zinc’s solution footprint.

This position requires someone with keen prospecting and solution selling attributes, an ability to ‘roll-
your sleeves up’ and work with internal teams to deliver high quality solution-based proposals.

Additionally, the Sales Manager will serve as the focal point for negotiations and act in a sales capacity for
those existing customers presenting up, cross/sell opportunities.

Your key responsibilities will include…

  • Developing and managing a pipeline of sales opportunities for the Zinc Systems products.
  • Answering incoming requests, RFP’s, tenders and quotations
  • Up/cross selling of new Zinc Systems products/ features to the existing customer base
  • Attending events and actively generating leads
  • Making online and field sales visits to prospective customers
  • Qualifying sales opportunities and recording their sales progress in CRM
  • Generating a recurring revenue stream for the company, measured against agreed targets.
  • Working with internal support teams to ensure customer satisfaction is at the highest level
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

What experience we require…

  • Hunter sales experience Software/SaaS/ Systems/Security & Safety
  • Vertical market experience is ‘a plus’ across: Security, Safety, SaaS Incident and Risk Management Software, Corporate, Retail & Supply Chain, Government, Emergency Responders.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding objectives and quotas
  • Proven ability to establish and nurture executive level relationships at prospective customers
  • Proven ability to develop a value proposition at all levels of the prospect value chain
  • Successful experience with new account development
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-driven, motivated, and results oriented
  • Someone who thrives in thinking “outside the box”
  • Ability to work collaboratively

Our newly upgraded office is based in a highly desirable Northamptonshire village. 5-10 minutes from Northampton town centre.


Lucrative salary plus commission scheme.
