Cookie Policy

What are Cookies?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information, often including a unique identifier, which are downloaded to your device when you visit a website.

There are first-party cookies which are set/provided by the website you are visiting, and third-party cookies which are set/provided by a source other than the website you are visiting.

There are persistent cookies that remain on your device after you have closed your web browser, and session cookies that are automatically deleted when you close your web browser.

Cookies are often categorised to help you to understand the function they perform and purpose they serve.

What are Tracking Technologies?

Other tracking technologies include “web beacons” (also known as Internet tags, pixel tags and clear GIFs) and “embedded scripts”.

A web beacon is a small graphical image which is embedded in a web page or email.

An embedded script is a small piece of computer code that runs whilst you are interacting with a website.

How we use Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies in the following ways:

  • To provide information that can help us to understand what interested you about our website and emails and what did not. This helps us provide you with a better, more personalised experience.
  • To measure the effectiveness of our marketing activities and to understand how visitors use our website and social media pages.
  • Necessary cookies for risk assessment and identify bots for spam protection.
  • To remember your consent preferences to respect your choices for future visits to our website.

The Categories of Cookies we use

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms and spam protection.  Blocking these cookies (via your browser for example) may prevent some parts of the site from working as intended. These cookies do not store any personal data.

Functionality Cookies

These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, then some or all of these services may not function properly.

Performance Cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance.

Targeting Cookies

These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They do not store directly personal information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

Social Media Cookies

These cookies are set by a range of social media services that we have added to the site to enable you to share our content with your friends and networks. They are capable of tracking your browser across other sites and building up a profile of your interests. This may impact the content and messages you see on other websites you visit. If you do not allow these cookies, you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools.

The Tracking Technologies we use

Web Beacons

Certain pages on our website contain ‘web beacons’ (also known as Internet tags, pixel tags and clear GIFs). These web beacons allow third parties to obtain information such as the IP address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the beacon appears, the URL of the page on which the beacon appears, the time the page containing the beacon was viewed, the type of browser used to view the page, and the information in cookies set by the third party.

IP Addresses

The forms on our website collect IP address information (by automated means) for usage analytics.

Do No Track

There is no agreed standard for “Do Not Track” requests at this moment in time, for this reason it is unlikely to deliver what is expected by those who use it and it can therefore be misleading.

For the reasons above our website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals/requests from your internet browser.

For more information on “Do Not Track,” please click here. (https://allaboutdnt.com/)

Personal Data

Whilst much of the data collected and processed by cookies and tracking technologies is aggregated and therefore anonymous, they can and do collect and process Personal Data (by automated means). All Personal Data is collected and processed in accordance with our https://www.zinc.systems/privacy-notice/.
