A Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) is a structured log used by security, facilities, and operational teams to record key events, incidents, and routine activity during a shift. It provides a clear timeline of what happened, when, and who was involved, supporting handovers, audits, and incident investigations.
Typical entries include incidents (alarms, trespassing, lost property), key events (contractor access, deliveries, drills), and routine activity (patrol checks, lock/unlock procedures, CCTV checks).
