The Environment Agency (EA) has appointed Zinc Systems, the UK’s leading software provider of incident and crisis management, to deliver its National Incident Report & Track System (IR&T).
This Category 1 Emergency Response solution will utilise Synapse as its underlying platform and deliver a digital transformation to the EA.
Using Synapse, the EA will connect 6,000 field and office-based users, receive reports and manage the response to over 80,000 incidents each year across England, and generate real-time situational intelligence around what is happening on the ground as incidents unfold.
This will increase the resilience and protection of people, property and businesses to the risks of environmental impacts as well as protecting and improving water, land and biodiversity.
Operating at the highest level of security, the platform is fully integrated with ESRI’s ArcGIS mapping, and is structured to enable auto-scaling and integrations with other Government systems, allowing the EA to have a FULL and COMPLETE picture of risk.
