Today marks another exciting milestone in Zinc’s journey to becoming the UK’s leading Crime and Intelligence software and solutions business.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Stephen Shackell as Director of Intelligence and Risk.
Steve will be instrumental in driving the intelligence strategy for the business, supporting our clients with turnkey GSOC and intelligence solutions as well as forging strong partnerships and initiatives with the police, government agencies and other strategic partners.
Throughout his career, Steve has amassed expertise in the areas of intelligence and investigations in the public and private sectors. A qualified trading standards officer and accredited financial investigator, his early career took him from Liverpool Trading Standards, to South Wales Police and on to the UK Intellectual Property Office where he served as deputy head of intelligence. He moved to the private sector as a policy manager for Amazon, responsible for product quality and fraud across the EU, before moving into private security where he designed and managed award-winning intelligence units for his clients.
Reducing crime and other security risks requires a partnership approach between private and public sectors. This is a key element of Steve’s remit with his already embedded relationships with government and law enforcement agencies, private sector partners and charities – such as Crimestoppers, which Steve is passionate about and who he supports as an ambassador.
Through combining Synapse, our leading software platform, and intelligence services; Zinc will deliver an end-to-end offer that is INDEPENDENT and works in complete collaboration. With Steve now on board, we are looking forward to Zinc having a huge impact for our clients.
